The Indian Army recently showcased a platoon of
robotic dogs, also known as Multi-Utility Legged Equipment (MULEs), during the
Army Day march. This cutting-edge technology is now part of the Army’s arsenal,
with 100 robotic dogs added to enhance operational capabilities. The
MULEs are designed to work in tough terrains, reducing risks for human

One of the key models, the ARCV MULE, is developed by Aero Arc, a subsidiary of Arc Ventures, based in New Delhi. These robots are built for various tasks such as perimeter security, asset protection, handling hazardous materials (CBRNE), bomb disposal, and intelligence gathering.
The ARCV MULEs can easily navigate stairs, steep
inclines, and debris-filled areas. They are designed to function in extreme
temperatures, ranging from -40°C to +55°C, making them ideal for India’s
diverse landscapes. With an IP-67 rating, they are dustproof and
water-resistant, making them ready for any challenge.
